Through the door of possibility…

“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”

~ Confucius

Potential.  There’s so much that one word can say.  It can be defined as showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.  Capable of ‘being’, but not yet in existence.  Potential exists in a realm that may seem weird, crazy, even hard to understand.   But ultimately, potential exists in the realm of possibility.

A realm described in the movie, Pay It Forward, (2000).  Where a boy takes a Social Studies assignment and tries to make the world a better place by “paying forward” a good deed times three.

This is my possibility.  This is my potential.  I am now paying it forward.

In the language of science, potential  is the energy an object has because of its position rather than its motion.  An object on the threshold, in the doorway.  Ready for motion, but not quite through the door.  So what happens when that object gets a push?

Motion…and motivation!  Potential is now being realized.  The realm of possibility is now!

As I walk through the door that is open to me, I can honestly say that my own potential is exciting to think about.  I am now actively focusing on the things I only thought about in the past.  While I am walking through that doorway, I am consciously thankful for where my path has led me.  I’ve learned so much and have met some truly great people along the way.

And while I bring those great people with me on my new adventure,  now it’s time to meet more great people!  That’s where YOU come in!

I am stepping through the doorway open to me to embrace my future.  My personal excellence is helping you to realize what your personal excellence could be and what you can do to achieve it.

As I “pay it forward”, I hope that I can help you to unlock the door to your own realm of possibility.   And when you succeed, remember to pay it forward and find a way to show others how to …

“Embrace your potential.”
